The All-on-4 dental implants technique utilizes four dental implants to attach your new set of permanent replacement teeth in a minimally invasive way. The dental implants used in this procedure are specially designed for immediate function and typically do not require bone grafting. This treatment is attractive for those patients with dentures or in need of full upper and/or lower restorations

To determine the suitability of a patient for All-On-4 dental implants, a thorough evaluation will first be done by the dentist; this can include getting impressions, bone density measurement, x-rays and CT scans. The procedure for placing these implants utilizes four implants, with the ones placed at the back of the mouth angled in such a way that they maximise the existing bone in those specific areas. The implants used in the All-On-4 procedures are developed to provide support for the immediate fitting of replacement teeth.

In spite of all the incredible medical technology we have at our fingertips, there are currently tens of millions of people in the United States alone who have lost all of their teeth to decay and periodontal disease! Periodontal (gum) disease is described as a chronic and acute bacterial infection of the soft tissue surrounding the teeth and is a pervasive problem that affects around 30% of all people entering into their late adulthood. A number of factors can make you more susceptible to gum disease than others, such as smoking, poor oral hygiene, chronic illness (diabetes and cancer), certain medications and genetics, but if left untreated, the results are the same: tooth decay, bone loss and eventually, edentulism (having no teeth). Without teeth to populate that once glorious smile of yours, countless vital functions are severly compromised. A full set of dentures allows for about 10% of chewing capacity compared to a full set of natural teeth. This means a softer diet which may eliminate some of the foods that you are accustomed to eating. Some patients find that their dentures are not fitting securely, so they have difficulty in speaking and articulating. With All-on-4 Dental Implants you can regain your self-confidence and 70-90% of your chewing ability. Eat the foods you once enjoyed
